Bagel & Braeden!

Here is an update on Bagel and Braeden, (Cooper and Rowdy is what we call them).

They are wonderful. They never leave each others side. This was taken last night in the garage. The run and go all day long. The play tag, and tug of war with sticks. They are so darn funny. We are so happy with them.

I thought you may get a kick out of this picture, they cuddle and sleep together a lot.

Jacks!

Jacks is doing wonderful. He loves his new home and he has adjusted fast. He is already potty trained and knows how to sit and lay down. Such a quick learner. He is growing so fast too. But we all love him here and we know he was a good choice. I've attached some pics of him also.
Thanks again,

Adam

Obiwan!

Hello, Obiwan is doing great. He has been a very very good puppy for us and we are so happy we own him now. to our surprise he is almost fully potty trained, knows how to sit, shake, play fetch and he also retrieves. In addition, we bought him a few new toys and he loves his toy duck by far the most. I have attached a picture of him for you to see. Again thank you.

Reba is settling in nicely.  She is a very active, energetic and curious kitty and has been busy exploring the house.  Her and my other cat, Panda, are slowly getting to know each other.  She is very friendly and playful and both Linda and I are happy to have adopted her.  Attached are a few pictures of Reba.

Barney - a year later!

Barney
Dear friends, I have just celebrated my one year anniversary with mom. I got a chicken liver cake to celebrate!  I also have a new sister. I like her a lot but she never gives me any peace. She is always kissing me and wanting me to play with her, but mom says when I was a puppy I did the same to my big sister.  When she isn't kissing me she is kissing the cat and mom says she is going to get a hair ball if she doesn't stop it. Having a good time, have to go for a walk now,  love, Barney

Addison!

HSBC Photo
I wish I had a digital camera and I have not taken photos with my phone yet. Addison is doing great. She went to the vet for her check up and stitch removal on Friday (she does have lymes and is being treated) and she is doing great.

Addison has bonded with our family and with Cinderella (my Mom and Dad adopted her). She goes everywhere with us and spends most days with my daughter and grandma while they baby-sit my niece and nephew. She loves to play outside in the woods and chase the outdoor cats up trees (it is quite a game for them).

We are happy she is doing great and seems to like living here. Addison sleeps at the foot of bed in my daughters room or if my son is home and staying in the other bedroom that is where she will be found most nights.

We will keep you updated on her progress. Thank everyone there for the excellent care she received while with the shelter.

Have a wonderful week.

another Tucker update!

We just wanted to let you know that Tucker (a.k.a. Luke Skywalker) is doing great and growing a lot! We took him to the vet last Thursday and she thinks he will be 80-90 pounds full grown!  You can see in this photo how much he has already grown.

Tucker took his first swim in the lake last weekend.  He was nervous at first but then jumped in and started paddling along.  He also loves taking long walks through the woods near our house.  This weekend he will take his first family camping trip.  He's SUCH a smart boy and already knows sit, down, come, stay, take it, leave it and drop it.  We can't believe how fast he's learning.

We couldn't be happier with Tucker!  Everyone he meets just loves him, and he is friendly and happy with everyone, whether adults, kids, dogs, cats...even the turtles that wander into our yard from the lake.  Thanks again to everyone at HSBC and to the foster family that obviously took such good care of Tucker and his mom and siblings.  We will be forever grateful for this wonderful addition to our family.

Mara Jada now Samantha!

Hello,

HSBC Photo
She is doing wonderful-we changed her name to Samantha-we call her Sam for short.  We absolutely love her and couldn’t have asked for a better companion.  She is so smart and has such a wonderful personality.  She has settled into our home just wonderfully.  She loves to go on car rides and enjoys all the love she can get from us and any new person she meets.  She loves to give kisses and is always making us laugh and smile.  She gets along great with other dogs-we have friends that have older dogs and she likes to play with them, but does not bite at them, which we love.  I will try to get you some pictures-she is growing fast-I think she has almost doubled in size already in just over a week.

Thank you for checking in on her and thank you for letting us adopt her.

Sincerely,
Jenni

Padme now Jaspen!

Apparently there is no other comfortable place for a puppy to rest!

She is doing so well.  I just love her.  My boyfriend of 20 years died 2 years ago, and this puppy has brought laughing back in to my life.  She is just what my life needed.  The other dogs are accepting her more and more.  She is so funny.  In the morning she wakes me up by laying on my head  She is so happy when she wakes up.  She comes up to my pillow and plops her belly right on my face and you can feel her body wiggling from her tail wagging.  I wake up smiling every day.  She is a treasure.

Duchess!

Duchess is doing great. She was a little timid for the first week, but now she is really settled in. Her favorite things to do are cuddle up in anyone's lap and watch the birds out the window. She is also getting along great with her new sister, Lady. They love to play together. Overall, she is a great dog.
Thank you!

Po!

Hey.  We all love the dog here.  Everything is going great.  The training DVD is great.  Got treats he likes.  Lots of playtime.  He is such a great mannered dog.  Not a big barker.  Always nice.  Such a great puppy dog! Thank you much!

Padme

Just wanted to let you know that puppy's first night was pretty good. She was a little restless with it all being new, but slept next to me in the bed all night. We went outside a couple times and she didn't piddle in the house at all. We have been outside a lot today and now she is taking a nap. The other dogs are good to her. She likes Norm the best, but doesn't follow any of them, she's mostly independent! She an awesome little dog and I love her to pieces. Thanks a lot for everything. Lynn

Thank you!

Kahlua now Ember!

She's doing well. We decided to rename her Ember. She is a bold, happy and playful kitten. Insatiable appetite and boundless energy.

We plan on making a vet trip soon just to checkout her overall health.

Luke Skywalker now Tucker!

Luke Skywalker has been renamed Tucker and he is doing fantastic in his new home!  I can't believe how quickly he is adjusting--and after less than a week, we already can't imagine life without him.  Our kids (Maya, James and Jenna) absolutely love him!  Lots of family and friends have been stopping over to meet him and he is just so happy and friendly with everyone he meets.  Our two cats were nervous about him at first but he was so mellow with them that they quickly realized he wasn't a threat.  That introduction went better than we could have hoped.

We are crate training him and he loves his little "den."  When we say "bed," he goes right in now and lays down.  Very smart little guy.  He still cries some at night but we put a ticking clock next to his crate and that seems to help.  A couple of nights ago, we got him excited about a game of fetch and we saw the retriever in him come right out!  He ran for his toy and brought it back to us for half an hour, which I thought showed very good attention for a little pup.

I'm attaching three photos:  with two of our children at a picnic in the park last Sunday; playing with his new toys; and hanging out on the deck.  We couldn't be happier with Tucker!  He is such a good boy.  We'll be taking him to our vet next Thursday to check on the worm situation and see how his little incision is doing.

Thank you for everything!  We'll be in touch!  We don't have a picture yet of the whole family together but we'll send one when we do.

Libby and Dave

Jolee & Gia!

We cannot imagine or remember life without Jolee & Gia! These two precious little gifts have melded into our family as if they have been here forever. Our adult male cats have adapted to these girls so well! There were a few moments of hisses in the beginning, of course, but all in all, these loves have added so much to our family.
It is wonderful having a kitten X 2  in our home! We get to buy kitten toys again!!

Lizzy!

She is doing great. Potty training is going very well. And she is learning very quickly :) I have attached some pictures of her and will defiantly send more.

Allie!

Hello, she is with one of her toys.  She is doing great.  As any puppy she's a little wild at times, chews on things.  But she has connected with us.  She loves walking in the trails with us and our other dogs. She has an appointment on the 26th to booster her vaccines, and to meet our vet.
Reading to Allie
She is so cute, and we love her already. Thank you for checking!

Mia & Smokey!

Hi, All- Thank you for the opportunity to adopt Mia and Smokey, the two 9 and 9 1/2 mo. old kitties. We've had them now for a week and a half and Smokey has adjusted very well. He's super entertaining, funny, outgoing and loving, just like you said on the website. Not afraid of anything and curious about everything. Loves water and sinks. He's great. Mia still hides during the day, but comes out at night and is super lovey-dovey when she wants to be. She, too, is a very sweet kitty. They definitely play well together (one time I heard hissing and growling, but that was only once and maybe Mia wanted to be left alone). They come on our bed at night and sleep there sometimes and Mia likes to "get to know you" when your sleeping. It's funny how they are quite night owls as I learned (and researched on the Internet). Smokey loves looking outside whenever he can. They are both eating and drinking wonderfully and going to the bathroom in the proper place. I grew up having a cat, but that was a very long time ago, so this is new again for me. Anyway, just wanted to give you an update on how they are doing in their new home. I hope Mia comes out of her shell during the day soon. We'll continue to be patient as she transitions. Brenda is an awesome person to work with. She is so helpful and caring. I told her she could come anytime for a visit. I'll be giving her a call, too. Anyone is welcome to come for a visit. Thank you, again. We are having fun getting to know them. Sincerely, Kari and the rest of the Robin Family (Michael, Kaitlyn and Isaiah)

Duke!

HSBC Photo
I think Duke has already made this his home.  He likes to be with us all day but can be trusted  to be left in  the house.  The first day we had to leave for 2 hours and he did not bother a thing even a pie on the counter.  He has bad breath and is a little aggressive to other dogs.  We are working on both of those.  You said he doesn't like dog cookies, but he sure likes the ones we have.  He is a real people dog, the more people to pet me the better.
