Didi!

Didi is right at home here. She walks great on her new pink leash ( loves walks), and has gotten use to her outside cable/leash. For such a tiny dog, she sure thinks she can shove her way around She pushes her way in front of Scout for treats and when it is time to go out or in. She is working on her manners ( jumping) and patience, she knows what "no" means and is doing really good.
The potty thing will take some time, she does well one day and not the next. She hides as soon as she has an accident. We think she was yelled at a lot because she will curl up against a wall whenever we go up to her after an accident. She is just starting to understand that going outside is for potty and not for bird watching or listening to all the sounds. The DVD is really helpful, we all watched it. Didi gets a hotdog slice and a lot of praise when she goes potty outside.
She is getting use to her crate when we leave. We put peanut butter on her rawhide and it keeps her pretty busy until we get out the door. I didn't want to crate her, but she hopped the gate in the hall and my son found her laying on the couch (pretty determined huh). Luckily, she used the puppy pad before she jumped. She doesn't go potty in her crate though, which helps with training.
She loves rawhides, following Scout, playing with her new toys, spinning in circles when excited, giving kisses and a lot of attention. She sleeps with my son at night, and lays next to him during the day when he does school. Scout has done so well with her, we are really proud of him. He gets annoyed with the puppy play and let's her know with a growl, but he lets her hangout by him and doesn't mind her eating out of his bowls or sleeping on his bed. She is smart and sweet and we love the little gate hopper!
Thank you gals for all you do!
Julie
P.S. We had a house full of people on Easter and she did great, a little nervous but very sweet.

We changed her name to Daisy. Daisy is very lovable and got along with our family over Easter. She has tons of energy. She stays in the yard and comes when you call her. She does has a problem of jumping on the dining room table and leaps over the furniture. we all love her. She does need some training. Do you have someone you can recommend?

Keke and Sonia!

Well I am glad to report that sonia and keke are doing good. Sonia is a bit
persistant about being on tables, attempting to drink the beverages that
maybe left on table but we just either say NO firmly or spray w/bottle of
water. They both like to climb up high on our cabinets and of course knock
items down so we are working w/that issue also. KeKe does it too getting up
on the table or T.V. tray, but no near as much, she just loves to be Pegg's
"mink collar" at niteand her head on my shoulder and sleep or lay next to me
on the couch and hang on to my one wrist and sleep.
They did attempt to get out of the house today, Easter and KeKe was caught
right away. Sonia did not go out though.
The first few days, Sonia would not let KeKe near the food dish when she was
eating, like she wanted it all to herself......now that issue has subsided.
Our 2 granddaughters were here today, 8 1/2 yrs old and 4mos both cats were
very good did not bother either of the kids. Even though the 8 1/2 yr is an
animal magnet, they were good w/her. They ignored the baby.
As far as pictures, I have taken a few but haven' had them developed as yet
but when I do I surely will send a couple to you for your bulletin board.

Sloan now Max!

Max (Sloane) is doing well and has settled in quite nicely into our home. He is charming, playful, curious, BUSY, affectionate and we have fallen in love with him. Bailey, our five year-old beagle mix and Max are becoming good friends. We did go through the jealousy phase but for the most part that phase seems to be ending. Max is housebroken (with only a few accidents) and really well behaved. He has found the toy box for the dogs and has toys spread through the house. I have included a few pictures.
Best Regards, Mary

Mason now Joey!

HSBC Picture
Mason is doing fine, We have changed his name to Joey after the friend who donated funds to us after our Lucie passed in Feb so we named him after her (joanne is her name). Our other cat, Baker is smaller in size and is frightened easily and usually doesn't come out with strangers.  We have a large window screen in front of the guest room door so  the cats can see each other, and it is off the livingroom so he is not isolated.  In the beginning Baker would not even come upstairs and gradually is at least walking by the room.  She darn near drags her tummy she is crouching so low as she walks so it appears to be more scard than aggression, but the noises out of her are crazy Rosemary's-baby like.
Joey is calm now and seems to like to be king in his own room but we want to know when we should put them together.  Don't exactly recall how to do it either, just open the 'screen' and give Baker the surprise of her life or just what is the best way.  Because things have taken awhile we were thinking of doing it the end of this week.
Do you have any ideas on the best way.......I think it will all be okay but don't want to take any chances of messing Baker up.
So all is well. thanks for inquiry and any suggestions.   Peggy

Jack!

HSBC Picture
Hes a sweet dog. Somedays a little too much.. He settling in fine. We're struggling a bit with house training, but i think the peeing thing could be 2 fold. 1 Jack's new here and marking the house, our last dog passed away less than a month so Jack probably smelled him. He's an absolute gem though. Once he gets his routine down it will be smooth. Great pet so far. We're very happy with Jack. The girls love him and he has hit the puppy lottery here...thanks for thinking of us. We'll keep in touch for sure.
Rich

Update:
I think weve cracked the JACK code. He has been perfect for a week now. What a sweet little dog. Were so lucky. And so is Jack.... Thanks much. We ll stay in touch.

Adora!

HSBC Picture
We love our little Adora (I tell everyone that's short for Adorable)!  She is doing fantastically well!  We can't believe how easily she became adjusted to our home--and our grandsons-- while they were here.  She's playful, friendly, and relaxed.  She loves to eat, sleep, and follow us around from room to room.  Thank-you!
