Memphis

Hello -My name is Holly and we adopted Nonny (Now Memphis) last October. I just wanted to let you all know that he is doing great and is a sweetheart! He is blind in the one eye that was sunken when we adopted him but the vet says as long as it is not causing him any pain he is fine just the was he is YAY!! His bright blue eye makes up for it, he is so handsome, such a pretty coat too. He loves playing with his big brother Hammy and they both now have a fenced back yard to play in now that we moved to Hudson January of this year, and he gets to play at the cabin every once in awhile throughout the spring, summer, and fall. I just wanted to let you know he is doing great and we love him so much, he is so funny, makes us laugh every day and thinks he is a lap dog! Thank you so much for allowing us to give him his forever home!Holly and Jason

Lovec

Hi there,

My husband, Brian, and I adopted Freckles in August. We did change his name, though. It's now Lovec - pronounced Low-Vech. It's Czech for 'hunter'.

He has been a great addition to our family and he gets along great with his older brother, Dylan. Dylan is a French Brittany Spaniel/Golden Retriever Mix.

He brings some quality entertainment to our household and I'm SO SO SO glad we found him at your shelter. Thanks again to Lori who brought him to Sauk City for us to pick him up.

Attached are some pictures of the little - soon-to-be-not-so-little - guy. I thought you'd enjoy seeing these.

Thanks,
Ann

Baby Girl

It has almost been a month already since we adopted Baby Girl. I just wanted to let you know that she is doing great. She is adjusting very well and we are enjoying her as well. She and Joe love to play together and are pretty much inseperable. He really enjoys the company while we are gone during the day. She also has put on a little weight and has some muscle tone to her now. She is a cuddler, loves to be around people, and is growing rather use to being spoiled. Well, just wanted to let you know she is doing great. Thanks so much!!! Ben and Becca

Barker

Back in January of 2005 (I think) my husband and I adopted Barker, a redbone coonhound, you had at your facility. I wanted you to know that he is doing really well. He now has a fenced-in backyard to run in and loves chasing the squirrel that lives in the big tree in the backyard. He also loves attending doggy daycare to play with all the other dogs and going to our cottage in the summer where he enjoys swimming in the lake, all day long mind you.

I am pregnant and due September 2 and we look forward to Barker being a big brother. He loves children and have no doubt he will be a great companion to our child. He has truly been a great addition to our family and we feel so lucky to have been able to adopt him. We cannot imagine our lives without him.

Sign

Sign is doing great and is fun to have around. Thought I would attach a picture of our two little shelter "puppies" bonding. Aspen will always be our little 85lb pup!

Lucy - formally known as Muffin

Lucy is totally at home with the dogs and snuggles with the female (Tia) that we got from you folks a year of so ago. She plays with a variety of toys but her favorite seems to be playing hockey on the kitchen floor with a plastic bottle cap. She gets along fine with our two other cats unless she goes into a sustained attack-mode, and then they just meow at her and seek shelter. We try to watch for the signs and will separate the players if the old fuddy-duddy cats get tired of the rough-housing they get from Lucy.

Clover

Clover is doing incredibly well and we are absolutely in love with her! She seems to have adjusted and knows that we're "her people". We go for a walk around the park every morning - some days I actually have to talk her into getting out of bed - and once we're there she has to greet every dog she see's. We're probably a little excessive with the toys and treats but we figure she's had a tough go of it and deserves to be a princess! She spends her days sleeping on the couch, taking a stretch then moving to our bed, and sometimes she even takes a nap in her bed!
She has the funniest habit of taking her various bones and a few toys out of the toy basket and placing them in a sort of line in front of her. Then she alternates chewing on a bone, tossing a toy around, choosing another bone to chew on, tossing another toy around, then another bone, then another......
I'm attaching some pictures, hopefully the package I sent will arrive soon as well.
We really are so glad to have her, thank you.
Nicole and Perry

Cierra - formally known as Peachy

Cierra is having a great time here. She piles all her toys into one spot and then tries to grab at least two of them at a time in her mouth. She also loves the tennis ball!!
Cierra is loving life with her new family in Greendale, Wi!

Bailey - formally known Ruby

This is the dog we adopted-her name was Ruby - but we changed it to Bailey - she is so good.
She now lives in Voyager Village at the end of a cul-de-sac, dirt road, we are the only house in the circle. She loves the woods. She is such a good dog. We love her so much.

Lucie Lu

Lucie Lu (formerly Lacy) is doing great - when she got her stitches out, she weighed a whopping 5.4 pounds! She had her first haircut a few weeks ago and the 'old man wispy hair' is pretty much gone. Her new hair is growing in soft and much thicker than what she had.

She has been a great companion for me! I also bring her to work some days and she's EXCELLENT with children! (even those as young as 2). She has quite a spunky personality and she is great entertainment when she plays with her toys and my friends llahsa apso's (sp?). She has many new outfits so she stays warm in the soon to be frigid weather.

I've attached a couple of pictures - as you can see she is naturally a Packer-Backer! The Lucie as stuart picture she reminded me of stuart little, thus the title. I will send more pictures periodically if you'd like.

Thanks for the opportunity to adopt Lucie.

Safe and blessed holidays to you all!

Sandi :)
