Dutchess now Greta!

Hi
HSBC Photo
Duchess is now Greta.  She started answering to Greta on the way home in the car!!  And when we arrived home she ran to my front door  like she had been here forever. She is so wonderful and fun.  I am so very glad that I adopted her.  It seems as if she has been trained at some point-- which is great. She really is such a joy.  I bought her the cutest striped sweater at Walmart in the kids section—size 4 Oh it so adorable!!! And Greta thinks she is quite cool when she is wearing it.  Thank You –I have told many people how wonderful and  friendly you all are there.
Thanks again

Spicey now Maggie!

First we have changed her name to Maggie and after a short time she does recognize the change.

I took her to our vet and he agreed that she is most likely 5 years old. During his checkup of Maggie it became very obvious that she has been well cared for in the past. Her teeth are perfect and she is used to being handled and was very calm and  happy.

As she has become more ingrained in our family her personality has come out more and she is a joy to have with us. She has not had one accident in our home, has never even picked up anything that was not given to her, no shoes and so on. We had her for 5 days before we herd her bark one time at an unruly dog at the pet store.

We will begin obedience training at the end of February only because it is a prerequisite to therapy dog training. We will see how it goes but she seems to have the personality to touch many people.

Keep up the good work.

Blanche!

Blanche is doing wonderfully. She is full grown I think and the size of your average labrador. I suspect she is mixed with a little bit of a herding breed like a german shepherd or border collie because of her coat and the way she stalks and tries to herd us sometimes! But she seems mostly lab. Her coat is a lot longer and softer than the average lab and she sheds a ton! She learned how to hunt grouse last fall and loves it. She swims and goes to the cabin a lot where she gets to enjoy being a cabin dog. We have woods by our house where we take her for walks nearly every day. She has two little boys (ages 1 and 4) who she is excellent with even though they do get knocked over once in a while and smothered with kisses. But one of the most amazing things about her is that she seems to have an ability to bring out the puppy in every dog. She loves to play and she seriously brought our ten year old beagle back to life! Beags had refused to play with other dogs for years and now she just loves her new best friend and I can't get them to stop playing, they drive me crazy sometimes but they are so loved. The beagle has a heart condition and we have been told that she could go at anytime. Blanche will be so sad when she does and when that day comes and we have to look for a new family member we would definitely love to adopt through you again. Thank you!

Gracie!

Gracie is doing very well in her new home! She was potty trained on her first day home. We bought bells for the door & taught her how to ring them when she needs to go outside, she learned that right away.
She woke up in the middle of the night the first 3 nights, she is now sleeping completely through the night!
She is going to be attending obedience class, because she does have some issues with authority! We do have a girl with attitude! I have never seen a puppy talk back like she does!
She knows how to sit, stay & come, but the rest will fall into place when we participate in her obedience training.
Other than a bit of attitude, she is a dream girl, who sleeps on our feet anytime during the day when she naps, even if we are standing!
We will keep you all updated & share how her training classes go. She is a brilliant girl who learns very, very fast!

Sara is wonderful!  She fits right in.  She is everything we wanted.  All the animals love her too.  Her favorite is our cat the youngster, MukLuck.  She has had no accidents at all she goes outside potty and loves being out there with Foxy and the cat.  Foxys tail hasnt stopped wagging since she came.  Now I  dont know how to send pictures so will find out how to if I can.

Smokey now Tripper!

Smokey, now Tripper, is doing so well with us! He is such a great fit and SUCH a great pup! He's a little bit afraid of the ferrets, but I think slowly he's warming up to them. His incision is looking pretty good, but we're keeping an eye on it. It looks a little red, but not too bad. I attached a picture to the email of Tripper in his new sweater, he hates having it taken off!

We've been trying to figure out the breeds in Tripper, and we're thinking that maybe he has some Min. Pin. in him. Its interesting to think about. :-)

Thanks again,

Matt

Sawyer - again!

Sawyer is still doing great!  He did finally decide to go on a shoe binge one night, but now the shoe rack is stored safely in the closet. J  He and Riley are best buds, and he has learned to be gentle and respectful with our son.  Sawyer really is a perfect fit for our family, and we are so happy to have him.
Thank you!
