MILO
Milo is doing great and we are so happy to have him with us. He adjusted quickly to life with his new family, including our young dog. He continues to be the good-natured, snuggly guy he was while at the shelter, and spends his days curled up nearby and curiously checking out everything we do.

BART (PERRIDOT)
Thank you for checking in!  Bart (known as perridot to you guys) is doing wonderful.  He has adjusted very well to our home.  The first week or two was a little rough, but now he feels right at home.  He loves to chase your feet as you walk and I swear he could be an Olympic jumper.  He sleeps with our son, Trenton who is 8.  We couldn't be happier with our pick!

LIZA
Liza is doing great! She a bit of a meower and quite the stinky tooter! She is such a lover! She and our existing kitty are starting to get along. Liza just wants to be her buddy, but Kiki has been quite a bully. I think they've come to an understanding now. I even caught our first kitty licking Liza the other day. They like to lay in the sun together on the kitty tree, each on their own level, but close. We make progress every day!

Liza has awesome manners. She is great with everyone that comes over. So friendly and like I said, she is a lover.

I will send a few pics.

Thanks for everything!

Adopting was so easy and affordable. Such a wonderful way to start out with a pet.

AZIAH (SUNNY)
Things are going great.  She is such a great dog and very smart.  She fits right in with our other two dogs.  One of these days I will have to drop by with her.

MAX (PROFESSOR)
Thank you so much, Pam, for your follow up!  It's nice to know there are so many caring volunteers there!  Throughout our journey, I have met Emily, MaryAnne, Paige, Brenda and Kris.  All are very kind and very nice to work with. I also called last Saturday and talked to Beth and have her a thorough update. Thank you to all who were instrumental in helping us adopt the right furry addition to our family. I also tried to post a picture on your Facebook page, but it didn't work.  I posted it on my Facebook page under Kari Bohlen Robin.    I also wrote a positive review on your page highly recommending adoption there.

Anyway, yes, Professor is doing fantastic!  We gave him a new name, Max, and he's adapted quite well.  He even did fine on the car ride home. He loves people!  He just loves our kids.  He's very sweet and loveable, loves to cuddle and not afraid of anything (except when a friend came over and wanted to see him and when I got him, he ran away.  I think he feared leaving!).  Also important to note, he and our Smokey boy cat get along really well.  It took a couple days, but it didn't take long and they are best buds!  He's also very energetic!  He jumped up on top of an open door that was almost 7 ft. high!  We were shocked!  And he's declawed!  I'll try to attach a picture.  Thank you again for everything and I hope you find wonderful homes and families for all the pets.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

SMOKEY
In addition to the previous E-mail regarding Professor/Max, here are a couple pics of Smokey, who we adopted from you in May of 2013.  He loves his new brother/playmate!

JULIA
Julia is doing great.  She plays with one of our chihuahuas. I am trying to take a picture of her but having a hard time.  Maria loves Julia very much.  Julia sometimes sleeps with Maria. I will keep trying to take pictures for you.
BOOTS (SPARKS) AND COTTON (STAR)
The two kittens we adopted seem to be doing very well.  We are thoroughly enjoying them!!!!  We are amazed at how close they are – they fight with each other, they play with each other, they clean each other and they are constantly sleeping together (on top on each other.)   Sparks (now Boots) and Star (now Cotton) are getting their rabies shots on Saturday morning.  We are closing on our cabin here in Voyager Village on the 15th and our son is coming up this weekend to take them home to Iowa as we figured the 5+ hour drive will be easier with him in his car than with us as we move all our belongings from the cabin home with us.  We found a ‘kitty commode’ at a garage sale which they seem to enjoy using along with a carrier and a few extra litter boxes.  We purchased a couple scratch items so they seem to be very content.  They are growing fast.  I don’t think we or the kittens could be any happier with each other.
