NIKO (SHAKESPEARE)
Thank you for your
follow up inquiry about our recent adoption. We picked up Shakespeare on
February 23rd (about 5 weeks ago now). First of all we have
renamed him Niko which seems more fitting for a Siberian Husky. The
initial adjustment period went very smoothly and we are extremely happy we have
Niko in our family. When he left your facility he weighed 17.5# and has
gained over 7 pounds in just 5 weeks. We had him to the vet on Monday and
he weighed in at 25 pounds. We had a lot of snow on the ground when he
arrived. He just loved playing/digging/poking & jumping around in the
snow. It is so much fun watching him bounce & play around with
anything he passed by. Niko has adjusted so well into our family and does
extremely well with small children. He looks forward to going for rides
in the truck every day. Niko is truly becoming a “little buddie”
companion with my husband. Now that the snow is melting from the fields
he has enjoyed runs alongside the four-wheeler. Niko is all registered for
puppy behavioral classes and will be attending in a few weeks. We
love him so!
