Brindle aka Dolly!

We love Dolly.  We renamed her Brindle since my name is Dolly too.  One Dolly is all our house can handle. :-)
She had a urinary tract infection so there were a lot of accidents in the house at first but now she is doing great.  We took her to our vet and he gave her antibiotics which she will finish up today.  Our cat is even starting to warm up to her which I didn't expect so soon.  My daughter posted the above picture on her facebook page.  She was so excited to get the puppy!
Thanks for checking in.

King Barney Update!

hi everyone!   Sorry I havent written sooner but I have been very busy learning new rules. I now go potty outside (but I really miss mom doing the potty dance).  There are so many things to learn but I am of course very smart  but maybe just a little bit stubborn.  Do Not eat the couch was a hard one, but mom mustnt have liked it very much anyway because she got another one soon after.  I am still working on Do Not eat the cat. Do Not stand on the kitchen table so you are taller than your sister Ursula (the Dane) and Do Not pull down the curtains so you can see outside are works in progress.  I am still King  but also  super dog  and the 2 yr old calls me booboo  because i do a lot of them, accidently of course.  I am the best hugger and kisser in the world and mom says I make her laugh everyday.  I have my own couch, most of the bed, and everyone says my coat is the shiniest and that I am so sweet and lovable you cant help but hug me,  even after a Do Not.  I spent one night with Jeanette at Animal Lodge and had a good time, but other than that my little family is inseparable.  Thank you all so much for making mom so happy and even though there are a few Do Nots there are a lot more dos   so my friends  I will write again soon.
your friend,

Macbeth

Macbeth is doing wonderful.  We have all grown really attached to him.  He was a little skittish the first couple of days, but now when he hears us come home from work or school, he is right there waiting for us to pet him.  I have 3 boys and they all take turns at night having Macbeth sleep in their beds.  One thing for sure is that he does not lack for attention.

I was a little worried about how him and our chocolate lab would get along.  At first Macbeth would run anytime our dog was around, but now Macbeth sits in the same room with her and they seem to have become friends.

All in all, we love having him, and I think he is doing a terrific job of adapting.

Thanks!
Michelle

Isac

Hi there,

It has been WAY too long since we had updated you all on Isac (whom we adopted this last summer:)  We were without internet for a while and never really understood the whole e-mail via cell phone thing.
He has been great in our home!  On the way home from Siren, we stopped a lot and let him get out and stretch.  He seemed right at home when he went around and sniffed everything, and checked out his new backyard.  (Of course he had to chase the few squirrels out of the way!)  The second day we had him he decided to jump into our kiddie pool that we had set up and just laid down and started drinking the water lol!  He has quite the personality, and a ton of nicknames from our kids to boot for all his little quirks! Our two kids Sadie and David have absolutely fell in love with him over the past year.  We go on nightly walks as a family around the park and neighborhood around our house, (recently we just found a new trail that leads us all the way to the Mississippi River even!)  so exploring with him has been a blast.  It took a while for him to get used to us calling him, and for him to actually respond and come when we'd call him in, but now he comes running in when ever we snap or call him from the back door.   I'm enclosing some photos, and one last story.   My son just started kindergarten at the beginning of the year, and when we went on a walk to the bus stop to see him off Isac refused to move!  He just sat there and laid down right where the kids had stood to wait for the bus and would NOT move until I finally bribed him (with his end of the walk doggie treat).  He still has his internal clock for within a couple minutes when the bus rolls around the neighborhood.  He runs and grabs his leash off of the coat hook, and drags it to me..sometimes before even I realize it's about time for them to be home! :)  We just wanted to say thank you again, for allowing us to adopt him, as he has been just an amazing addition to our family!  Hope all is well with everything up in Siren, and that you all had a mild winter!
Thanks again
