Nothing makes us happier at HSBC than to hear about how animals adopted from our shelter are doing in their new forever families!

Cinnamon is doing wonderful. She is such a sweet little dog and fit right in from day one. She gets along wonderfully with my bigger dogs, too. She loves to play with my chocolate lab, Metzler and one of her favorite spots to be is either sitting between his front legs or laying on top of is back/ head. They both are goofy, but love each other. I'm bringing her in to the vet tomorrow to have her sutures from the spay removed and was wondering if it would be ok to stop into the shelter to surprise Ron (I think that's his name). I know that they were pretty close! If you happen to get this, could you let me know if this would be ok to do? Here is a picture of Cinnamon (dressed up silly) with Metzler. I have more pictures on my phone and will try to send some to you from there soon. Thanks for helping me find my new best little buddy! -Brenda
Fonzie has had how shall I say this?..... A very active settling in period. Which he has been a real trooper about. Our homebase is in Bloomington MN. But in the summer we spend a great deal of our free time at our lake property near Cushing WI. So our cats learn to travel right away. Fonzie who's name has morphed into Dudely is an excellent little traveler! After a few minutes of meowing he settles right into his kennel and I don't hear another peep out of him. He has 3 new sibs in his new cat family as you already know. The bonding is going very well as far as I'm concerned. He plays and has started grooming with our 9 month old Marty.
The other 2 cats are a little bit older but coming along in their own times. The oldest will still occasionally hiss. I will take that over piss any old day. 😜 Last weekend I took him to Grantsburg and got his rabies shot, all went well. He is also learning very easily as most cats do how to wear and figure out how a radio controlled collar and in ground fence work. So he gets to be outside when we are outside but only in the area we have laid out. Here in Bloomington and at the Lake. He is such an amazing little guy, lying here next to me right now head butting, begging for belly rubs, and tooting most foully as we work on weaning him off purina kitten chow and on to a more protein based diet. Anyway, Thank you guys! For all that you have done to make him the fine very lovable kitty that he IS! Erin
We are the Ainslie's and we adopted "Freckles" who is now Fergus. He is the sweetest boy and learning every day. A Major chewer and hasn't quite figured out that Ian (our 5 yr old Teddy Bear) is NOT a chew toy! Rather than being a lab springer mix we are pretty sure that he is an English Pointer/Lab. Originally afraid of getting into the car he now thinks its okay as he loves going to see new places. Not sure about the big waves at Lake Superior but after a few more trips he will probably hit a day of calm "seas" and then it will be fun. Throws the ball to himself and can spend many, many minutes playing catch. Loves his dad and they have become great pals. Mostly house broken and walks well on a gentle leader, bit of a puller without. Very into deer, would chase them if allowed. So, I can let you know that he is very happy in his new home and we are very happy with him. (has been great when introduced to the grand kids. Will send pictures with them some time).
Have a great day, Chris and Fred Ainslie
