TRIPPER
(OLLIE)
According to
his owner (DeAnn), Tripper is doing absolutely great! She said that it’s good Tripper’s
been around dogs because he plays so well with her two dogs (Bella and Molly).
The cat even lays on Bella’s paws when Bella is laying down. Sometimes the cat
will just dive into Bella and go at it (play fighting). At first Bella chased
Tripper, but Tripper always seemed to get away. Tripper and Bella are always playing.
DeAnn was surprised that Tripper minds so well. If he eye-balls the counter and
she goes “ah ah” - he stays down. Tripper will get up in the bathroom sink as he
was used to getting a dribble of water from the sink at the shelter, but DeAnn doesn’t
want him to do that at her house. When she puts a bowl of water in his kennel
to keep away from the dogs, he doesn’t seem to drink the water out of that
bowl. (I told DeAnn that Tripper was probably getting his drinks from the dog
bowls and not to worry.) Tripper’s food, water, and litter box are kept in a
kennel, and he also sleeps in the kennel at night just because owner thinks
Tripper and Molly would just play in bed all night long. DeAnn is very pleased
with Tripper and how well all her animals have adapted to the newcomer. And,
DeAnn came all the way from Iowa to adopt Tripper from us because she felt that
he would be the best with her dogs.
