HARPER
(ANNE)
My fiancé
and I adopted one of the puppies from the litter of boxers, her name was Anne,
she now goes by Harper. Initially our wiener dog had a hard time
adjusting to sharing the attention of his mom and dad; this created some stress
for Harper. However, she is a persistent young lady and they are now on
their way to becoming best friends. This is also a relief for us as we
feared Howie wouldn't warm up. and we would have to find a more welcoming home
for Harper. We have been attending puppy classes at the siren pet store
to help with some of the basic training techniques. Harper is a very
curious and energetic young lady so can serve as the class clown at times, but
overall she is meeting the expectations and learning the commands. She
loves socializing with other dogs and is mindful of her size when playing with
her smaller four legged friends. She also loves children and is very
gentle with them. One of her most favorite things to do is play with her
sister; our very close friends also adopted one of the puppies from the same
litter. She also enjoys going for walks on The Gandy and giving her dad
kisses. She has brought so much joy, and at times some frustration that
goes with having a puppy, into our lives. I have attached a few photos of
her playing as well as her looking out for her brother. (We adopted Howie
from the Burnett county humane society 2 years ago in October).
