RATCHET (BOSTON)
Boston is now "Ratchet."  Ratchet is a name picked out long ago that would characterize the dog we wanted... and Boston fit the bill!

He is quickly adjusting to his new home... turns out to be a huge cuddler and amazingly athletic.  Interestingly, he is house broken and understands basic commands, although he'll still be going on to obedience school and likely agility training. He is amazingly bright and observant and stays in visible proximity to us when off leash.  Quite an amazing pup who continues to reveal a rich personality. We feel very fortunate.

Brenda was amazingly helpful in the entire process. We were amazed at the support we received and the thorough preparation that Ratchet went through for adoption. He got a thorough physical, immunizations, neutering and even repair of an umbilical hernia. We were grateful for the historical information that Brenda provided about him, as well as the comprehensive observations of all the Shelter volunteers. This really helped in our decision making.

In the end, his personality won us over and having him as part of our home became a no-brainer.  He succeeds our 17 year old, Skootch, also an amazing rescue dog who came to the end of his time with us earlier this year.  Ratchet helps fill that void while introducing us to his own unique character.

We are immensely grateful to all the Humane Society volunteers who take such great care of these animals!
