BAXTER
Thanks for getting in touch with me to check up on Baxter. He is doing very well and his tail is always wagging! I kept his name, as it fits him so well. He settled in here very quickly and his happy, easygoing personality shows more every day. He finally let out a howl for the first time yesterday! (His new beagle sister Bonnie typically does all of the talking while he just watches with his head tilted). At first he didn't care about toys but now he will fetch and whip around his stuffed bird like there's no tomorrow! He loves to sleep on the couch, go for walks with his sister, and let the cat rub on him but I think his favorite thing is to be pet and cuddled.

He is such a good boy and continues to be a perfect gentlemen for his ear cleanings and medications. He is on a weight-loss program and his heart murmur is being monitored. His x-rays and lab work are encouraging and I'm confident that he has plenty of happy years to live.

He is loved very much here and I'm so thankful to have added him to the family!
For you and all the staff and volunteers: thank you so much for everything you do for and give to the animals that cross your paths.
